Nanotechnology Process EHS Assessment

The EORM Nanotech Process EHS Assessment evaluates overall program performance and critical compliance aspects. The assessment primarily concentrates on health and safety issues but also includes a limited environmental compliance review. Specific programs and/or operations that are evaluated include:

The EHS Program Review focuses on overall program performance.  It assesses whether your programs: 1) contain all necessary components; 2) have supporting documents that were completed and retained according to regulatory requirements; and 3) provide evidence that the programs are currently being implemented. The level of detail included in this review is flexible based on the scope of work agreed upon with your EORM consultant.

The Operations Review identifies process activities that may contribute to worker exposure to nanomaterials or other occupational hazards. Any critical deficiencies (potentially resulting in imminent employee injury, property damage, or environmental contamination) are immediately conveyed.

The EHS Assessment consists of a four hour, on-site visit that includes cursory observations of equipment, building, and personnel, a review of EHS files and records, and interviews with selected company staff concerning operations information.  A verbal debrief and EORM assessment notes are provided at the end of the visit.

(Upon request, the scope and depth of the assessment may be modified to include a more detailed review or assessment of particular operations or programs.)
